Printing on the Wireless Network

Windows Computers
Download the Epson Stylus C88+ driver here and save it to your computer.
  (Please advise Library staff if the link is broken)
Run the file "epson11896.exe" to extract the installation files and start the installation.

Click "OK" to self-extract
Choose Unzip; change location if desired
Click "OK" to acknowledge unzip successful
Choose "Epson Stylus C88" and click "OK"
At the Epson Printer Utilities Setup screen choose "Manual"
From Available Ports select any port (e.g., LPT1) - this will be changed later.
Click "OK" to acknowledge setup completed successfully

Go to Start|Printers & Faxes
Right-click on "EPSON Stylus C88 printer" and choose "Properties" and the bottom of the fly-out menu
Select the tab "Ports"
Click "Add Port..."
Choose "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "New Port..."

The Add Port Wizard opens

Click "Next"
In the first box "Printer Name or Address" enter 10.20.30.101
  The second box "Port Name" will fill in automatically.
Click "Next"
Make sure Device Port has "Parallel 1" selected, click "Next"
Click "Finish"

The Add Port wizard closes, and Printer Ports dialog will be active
Click "Close"

Printer Ports dialog will close and return to EPSON Stylus C88 Proprties|Ports
In the Ports window, there should be a check mark next to a port labeled IP_10.20.30.101
Click "Close"

The Library printer should now be available for printing.
Please note that will like NOT be your default printer, when printing make sure to change the destination printer to EPSON Stylus C88



If the installation does not start install it manually using Windows' printer wizard

Start Add Printer wizard
Choose "Local printer" and uncheck "Automatically detect"
Choose "Create a new port"
Select :Standard TCP/IP Port" from the drop down menu
Choose Next until the dialog asking for 'Printer Name or IP Address appears.
Type in 10.20.30.101
Choose Next or Finish until you are returned to the printer wizard.
Choose "Have Disk..."
Choose "Browse..." and navigate to the location of the extracted driver.
   (Usually 'C:\epson\epson11896_c88p_printer_driver_55ba')
